Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a visitor enters a name or case number in a site search tool, the query is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its own result. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send us an email, we retain the message to respond to it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers can receive technical information connected with the visit, including:
- The IP address associated with the device
- The browser and version used for the visit
- The device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on each page
- The referring site, when one is provided
- The time of each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device that help show how visitors use the site, such as which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics services aggregate that activity. Browser settings can block cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
We use the available technical and visitor information to operate and improve this site.
- Maintain site availability and performance
- Route a submitted query to the applicable partner service
- Assess which pages visitors use and where updates may help
- Investigate and correct technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Washington County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. The site offers general routing information for records held by the Washington County Circuit Clerk, the Circuit Court of Washington County, and Missouri Case.net. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search tools displayed on this site are operated by third parties. Information entered into one of those tools is subject to that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Those providers make their own retention and sharing decisions, which we do not control. Review a partner's policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to court, clerk, Case.net, legal-aid, and search-provider resources. Following a link takes you to an independent site whose privacy practices govern that visit. Read its policy before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may also track activity across websites to provide interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information can be shared with the following categories when needed for the described purpose:
- Search partners that process queries submitted through their tools
- Analytics providers used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver ads on the site
- Law-enforcement or government entities responding to a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary security measures intended to protect the information we collect. No internet-connected system can promise complete security, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
For public records held by Missouri public bodies, the Missouri Sunshine Law, RSMo Chapter 610, supplies the public-access framework. Court-file access also remains subject to Missouri Court Operating Rule 4 and Rule 122 where applicable. Those court-record rules do not change this private site's privacy practices. For information we keep about you, you may:
- Request a copy of information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of certain data-processing activity
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy in the future. A revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date, so visitors who wish to follow privacy changes should review this page periodically.
Effective date: August 29, 2026
